Click eliptical exercise machines if you don't have time to read the review
Eliptical exercise machines are still relatively new when compared to treadmills and steppers. But eliptical exercise machines are becoming more sophisticated, reliable and easy to use. The Orbitrek eliptical exercise machines are among the most popular because they are cheap, reliable and on TV. Most of the more expensive eliptical exercise machines use magnetic resistance because it is silent but the Orbitrek elleptical uses a flywheel similar to the fan of a car engine. The benefits of this is the fanned air is redirected to cool the user. Much appreciated when training indoors.
The Orbitrek Platinum is the newer more improved model

Overall
The Orbitrek is great value for money. It is a machine that really does the job quite well without blowing out your budget. What we liked about it was the cooling effect of the flywheel. Training in a room with still air can become a bit stifling if you are getting a sweat up but the redirected airflow of the Orbitrek's flywheel will keep you cool.
